Ara Bhabha is a Persian-South African Filmmaker with an Honours in Film Theory and Practice from the University of Cape Town. Ara works across a variety of genres and mediums to explore the nature and aesthetics of art, creation and the self. Thematically, her work often revolves around ideas of memory, identity and connection, through the lens of experimental and personal filmmaking.

Ara's films have featured in a number of film festivals around the world. Apart from filmmaking, Ara has also had her winning short story published and her photography featured at the ID7 Exhibition, allowing her to experience the cultural landscape of art in the modern day, across the mediums.
